between hills and plain, in the heart of Romagna, Forl\u00ec is a city which should be discovered, far away from mass tourism and rich in masterpieces, a place that bears, indelibly carved, the traces of its past.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saffi Square<\/strong> is one of the most interesting attractions of Forl\u00ec. Dedicated to the illustrious triumvir of the Roman Republic and hero of the<em> Risorgimento<\/em> who was born here, the square is surrounded by some of the most important buildings of the town: the impressive bell tower and the abbey of <strong>San Mercuriale<\/strong>, which preserves the paintings of Marco Palmezzano and the tomb of Barbara Manfredi, the <strong>Town Hall<\/strong>, the former seat of the lordship of Caterina Sforza and Girolamo Riario, the <strong>Palazzo del Podest\u00e0 <\/strong>and the <strong>Post office<\/strong> built in the 1930s by architect Cesare Bazzani.<\/p>\n<p>The streets of the old town lead us back through the centuries, keeping evidence of a history of in-fightings, as the former palace of the <strong>Monte di Piet\u00e0<\/strong>, built in the 16<sup>th<\/sup> century on the &#8220;Guasto degli orsi&#8221;, and of devotion, such as the neoclassical <strong>Duomo<\/strong> dedicated to The Holy Cross, which houses the Chapel of the <em>Madonna del Fuoco<\/em>, patron of the town, with its impressive Baroque dome painted by Carlo Cignani.<\/p>\n<p>Finally we come to the <strong>Oratory of St. Sebastian<\/strong>, a small jewel of Florentine Renaissance architecture in Romagna, and the former <strong>Dominican monastery<\/strong>, now the prestigious home of the <strong>Civic Art Gallery<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space]<a href=\"#\" class=\"sc_button sc_button_square sc_button_style_filled sc_button_bg_custom sc_button_size_medium popup-forlihalf\" style=\"color:#ffffff;\">BOOK A TOUR NOW<\/a>[vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>FORLI&#8217; &#8211; FULL DAY TOUR<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Forli tour continues in the afternoon with the visit to <strong>Palazzo Romagnoli<\/strong>: the 18<sup>th<\/sup> century building that houses the civic collections of the 20<sup>th<\/sup> century, from the collection <em>La grande Romagna<\/em> to the unique and amazing <em>Verzocchi <\/em>collection, which gathers the works commissioned by the industrialist Giuseppe Verzocchi from Forl\u00ec and works of some of the most famous Italian artists of the 20<sup>th<\/sup> century.
