INTERNATIONAL TOURIST GUIDE DAY – 2019 EDITION
Free guided tours on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th February 2019
On February 21st each year around the world the International Tourist Guide Day is celebrated, established in 1990 by the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations and promoted in Italy by the National Tourist Guide Association.
The International Tourist Guide Day, with the free offer of tours to the rediscover the beauty of national territories, aims to enhance and spread the sense and the role of a profession that, thanks to a multidisciplinary competence and at the same time to a ‘on the field’ preparation, has the mission of bringing people closer to sites, museums and art cities.
The qualified tourist guides of Artemilia will put their professionalism at the disposal of the public by offering three free guided tours on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th February 2019.
On the occasion of the International Tourist Guide Day, the visits proposed by Artemilia will focus on lesser-known monuments located within the territory of Emilia, with the aim of divulging knowledge of sites and monuments not subject to large tourist flows.
