Learning

Artemilia Cooperative Society offers a wide range of educational activities and workshops for Primary and Secondary school groups. Our proposals, addressed to groups travelling on school excursions and to local school groups, are meant to stimulate pupils’ curiosity for art and the desire of discovering the town and the territory, bringing monuments and works of art alive and making their meaning easily comprehensible.

There are different ways to discover Parma and its history: we offer thematic visits to the town, monuments and sessions to museums. Our Expert-Led Discovery Visits are interactive, hands-on and immersive. These visits have been specifically designed to meet the needs of different groups across the key stages. The interactive visit values the time of observation and operation. Pupils are in this way motivated as makers of meaning and knowledge.

The vision of monuments, buildings, squares and works of art is deepened and re-elaborated through workshops involving the free and guided exploration of material, a multi-sensory approach, group work and individual work, games, graphics, paintings and manipulative activities. Our workshops are designed to meet learning objectives and outcomes in a entertaining and interactive way, to develop creative thinking, visual and verbal literacy and research skills.
