Visit one of the most striking neighbourhoods in the city of Parma
The itinerary proposed by Artemilia on Aprile 20th 2019 begins with the Roman Bridge and winds through the heart of the Oltretorrente, passing through the SS. Annunziata Church, the Oratory of Santa Maria delle Grazie, Arturo Toscanini’s birth place, the Ducal Park and the Ducal Palace, the Old Hospital, the Oratory of Saint Ilary of Poitiers, the Torri dei Paolotti, the Church of Santa Maria del Quartiere and the small Church of Santa Croce, built as a pilgrimage station on the Via Francigena at the beginning of the 13th century.
Meeting with the Local Tour Guide of Artemilia Guided Tours in Parma and Emilia Romagna next to the Roman Bridge in Piazza Ghiaia 1 at 9:50 am. Departure at 10:00 pm. Discover the great fresco masterpieces made by Correggio in Parma
The guided walking tour traces the biographical and artistic events of the painter’s life and is dedicated to the great fresco works made by Correggio in Parma: the Room of the Abbess inside the convent of Saint Paul, among the most refined pearls of the Italian Renaissance, the Church of Saint John the Evangelist and the dome of the Cathedral.
