On the trail of Correggio with Artemilia Parma Guided Tours

Saturday 20th January 2018, like every Saturday,  Artemilia – Parma Guided Tours  offers a guided tour dedicated to painter Antonio Allegri, nicknamed Correggio, who created some of his greatest masterpieces in Parma. The artist was celebrated during the Seventeenth Century for grace and naturalness, which made him one of the great masters of the Renaissance, and later for the novelty and dynamism of the iconographies adopted in the domes of Parma, for which he is often considered a forerunner of the Baroque period.

The visit intends to retrace the painter’s life and work and is dedicated to the great fresco works of Correggio: the Chamber of the Abbess inside the convent of Saint Paul, among the finest pearls of the Italian Renaissance, the Church of Saint John the Evangelist and the dome of the Cathedral.

Come and discover Parma and Correggio’s masterpieces with Artemilia – Parma Guided Tours. We are waiting for you for an afternoon full of emotions!
